Livelihoods and Health Management Initiative (LHMI) exists to develop local leaders, catalyze positive change, and alleviate poverty in Western Kenya Region. The organization combines service with responsible research to inform and assist participatory development in the region and other constituencies in Kenya. By maintaining a participatory focus, continuing to invest in youth, and forming key partnerships with the Government, Community and Private Sector, the future is full of possibility and growth for LHMI..
With its central coordinating office in Rarieda, the organization focuses on youth with a strong commitment to improving health, social, and economic conditions for the vulnerable Households in Western Region, LHMI has a host of ambitious growth targets in its development blueprint..

LHMI’s approach to preventing and addressing GBV encompasses engaging communities, including men and boys in and out of schools, to transform harmful gender norms; sensitizing healthcare providers and health facilities to better deliver survivor-centered GBV services.
